How Langkah Co Came to Be
"The word langkah means step in Bahasa Malaysia. We chose it deliberately — because meaningful change in a business happens one deliberate step at a time."
Langkah Co was established in Petaling Jaya by a small team of consultants who had spent years working inside Malaysian organisations across finance, operations, and corporate strategy. What they observed, repeatedly, was that companies struggled less from a shortage of ambition and more from a shortage of clear structure.
Financial plans were built informally and rarely revisited. Processes lived in the heads of long-serving staff rather than in documentation. Community engagement was reactive and disconnected from business identity. These were not unusual problems — they were common ones, and they were solvable with the right support.
In 2016, the founding team came together to build a practice focused on exactly that: practical, structured consulting engagements that leave businesses with working tools and better habits — not reports that gather dust.
